We Have (3) Positions Available



Our licensed, NAEYC accredited, 5 STAR Early Care and Education Program at Sunrise Family Resource Center is looking for a full-time early education teacher. We are seeking a committed professional who has experience with children ages 6 weeks to three years, who loves to get down on the floor to play and appreciates that early childhood is a messy business.

The ideal candidate will be able to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment, have knowledge of trauma-informed practices, work well in a team atmosphere, and provide education and support to parents.

Bachelor's degree in early childhood education (or related field) and experience working with young children and their parents preferred, other degrees or education will be considered. Strong organizational skills a must. Knowledge of the philosophy and strength-based values of family centered services and early childhood education is an important part of this rewarding work. Compensation is based on experience: $15 - $18/hour.

Are you a natural teacher or caregiver? Do you love to create healthy meals that children love to eat and explore? Then Sunrise Family Resource Center Early Care and Education Program is the place for you! As the Sunrise ECE Cook you will prepare nutritionally balanced, attractive, family-style meals for children ages three and under, and staff. You will plan menus while considering the Center’s budget, seasonal and locally available foods, and state and federal nutritional requirements for children.

This is a part-time position, with the potential to move into full-time employment within Sunrise. We offer a professional development package and a great work environment. Applicants must have a High School Diploma/GED, and those with relevant experience in a licensed child care facility kitchen, commercial kitchen, public school cafeteria or equivalent, will be prioritized. Applicant will also need to meet state requirements and pass a background clearance check.

Sunrise Family Resource Center is seeking an enthusiastic professional to fill the role of Early Care and Education (ECE) Director. The ECE Director will manage the daily operations of the Sunrise childcare center, which serves twenty-two infants and toddlers, ages 6 weeks to 3 years.

Ideal candidates will be competent and knowledgeable in quality early childcare practices, which contribute to the growth and development of young children and their parents/caregivers. The ECE Director will help support and connect families to additional Sunrise services, the early childhood community, and our state partners, when appropriate and/or necessary. In this role, the ECE Director will work closely with the Sunrise Executive Director, will be an active member of Sunrise's Leadership Team, and will be responsible for supervising all ECE staff members. Great collaboration skills are needed to facilitate relationships between classroom staff, Sunrise staff, community partners, and families, to ensure smooth operations in keeping with the agency's mission, philosophy, and standards of practice.

• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, or human services is preferred. An Associate's Degree is required, as is two years' experience with infants and toddlers, and two years' experience with family-centered services.

• As of 9/1/2016: Vt Early Childhood Director Step 1 Certificate or a three-credit college course in program management for early care and education or in staff supervision, related to early care and education and a three-credit college course in curriculum.

• Must be 21 years of age and able to maintain a valid driver's license.

This is a 40-hour-per-week position, with flexible scheduling options. Compensation is based on experience: $23.00 - $26.00/per hour. Sunrise Family Resource Center provides a balanced and generous benefit package.
