Current Positions Available



Our licensed, NAEYC accredited, 5 STAR Early Care and Education Program seeks substitutes. We are seeking committed professionals willing to work as needed with children ages 6 weeks to three years. Candidates should love to get down on the floor to play and appreciate that early childhood is a messy business. Must be reliable, able to maintain confidentiality and work well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with very young children and a willingness to attend periodic trainings outside of regular business hours. Preference given to those who are familiar with developmentally appropriate curriculum, trauma-informed practices and who have taken Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals or a 3-credit college course in Child Development.

Sunrise Family Resource Center has created a new position offering direct support to the Executive Director.  This is a broad-based position that will aid in daily operations, communications, grant research and management.

Qualifying candidates will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.  The minimum of a bachelor's degree is required with excellent verbal and written communication skills with at least three years experience preferred. Duties include project planning and implementation, grant research and assessment, as well as program promotion and presentation.

Sunrise Family Resource Center is looking for a dedicated individual to join our Parent Child Center team of professionals working with young children and their families. Our Children's Integrated Services (CIS) Family Support Home Visitors offer support and education to parents throughout Bennington County - promoting well-being and building on family strengths.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with major work in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing or other related human services field, experience working with children and families in a home setting preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills; demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams; possess knowledge of family dynamics and Bennington County community resources. Candidate will be organized, maintain quality professional documentation and file reports in a timely manner.

Sunrise Family Resource Center is seeking a Part Time cleaner and maintenance person. Duties include daily cleaning of our early care classrooms and weekly cleaning of offices. Included in the position are annual deeper cleaning, ongoing maintenance tasks as well as seasonal tasks. Support with gardens in spring through fall, early morning snow shoveling in the winter months.

The right candidate will be able to work later afternoon hours, with some flexibility. Ideally we need snow removal prior to staff arrival by 8am. The position is between 15-20 hours per week. Suitable candidates will be called for an interview.
