We Have (6) Positions Available



Our licensed, NAEYC-accredited, 5 STAR Early Care and Education Program at Sunrise Family Resource Center is looking for a full-time Twos Teacher. We are seeking a committed professional who enjoys working with two-year-olds, loves getting down on the floor to play, and appreciates that early childhood is a messy business.

The ideal candidate will implement developmentally appropriate curriculum in a safe and nurturing environment, understand trauma-informed practices, work well as part of a team, and provide education and support to parents.

Qualifications:
  • At least 20 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 12 months of experience working with groups of children is required
  • Meet at least one of the following education pathways:
    • Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level 3 Certificate
    • Associate degree from an accredited college in Early Childhood, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, or Child and Family Services
    • Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program Certificate of Completion
    • Child Care Certificate from the Community College of Vermont
    • 12 college credits with an early childhood or school-age focus
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred
Candidates must be able to pass a background check with fingerprinting, to be completed upon employment.

Strong organizational skills a must. Knowledge of the philosophy and strength-based values of family centered services and early childhood education is an important part of this rewarding work.

Schedule: 40 Hours per week, Monday – Friday:
Either 8:00am – 4:00pm or 8:30am – 4:30pm, with a 30 minute paid lunch.

Compensation: $19 - $21/hour, based on experience.

Our licensed, 5 STAR, NAEYC Early Care and Education Program at Sunrise Family Resource Center seeks an early childhood education professional. We are seeking a warm, caring, and positive Infant Teacher Assistant to join our program. The Teacher Assistant assists teachers with developing and implementing a developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive curriculum for infants. This role is an essential support for our early care and education team and an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to grow in the field of early care and education.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or GED
  • Twelve (12) months experience working with children is required.
  • Meet at least one of the following education and experience pathways:
    • Child Development Associate (CDA) or 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; or
    • Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals or the Vermont Afterschool Essentials Certificate; or
    • A three-credit college course in child or human development or school-age care.

Our licensed, 5-STAR, NAEYC-accredited Early Care & Education Program at Sunrise Family Resource Center is seeking a warm, dependable, and positive Multi-Classroom Aide to support our three classrooms. This essential support role helps ensure each day runs smoothly by covering classroom breaks, assisting with children's transitions, preparing learning spaces, helping maintain clean and organized classrooms, supporting teachers with daily activities, and creating a safe, welcoming environment for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. If you're a team player who enjoys variety and wants to make a meaningful impact behind the scenes while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education, we'd love to have you join our team.

Primary Duties: 1. Maintain NAEYC Guidelines for Best Practices and all state licensing regulations in daily operations. 2. Work positively and collectively with others, as a team member of the ECE Program and the Sunrise community.

Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Prospective candidates must have the ability to pass a background check with fingerprinting, to be completed upon employment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children. Preference given to those who are familiar with developmentally appropriate curriculum, trauma-informed practices, and who are willing to, or have completed Fundamentals for Early Childhood professionals or a 3-credit college course in Child Development.

Schedule: 30 Hours per week, Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm, with a 30 minute paid lunch.

Compensation: $16 - $18/hour, based on experience

Strong organizational skills a must. Prospective candidates must have the ability to pass a background check with fingerprinting, to be completed upon employment.

Schedule: This is an on-call, as needed, per diem position. Typical hours of our center are Monday – Friday: 9:00am – 3:00pm, with a 30 minute paid lunch.

Compensation: $16/hour, or based on experience
